With a turnover of 30.3 billion euros in 2023, the consumer electronics segment with the product areas of consumer electronics, private telecommunications and private IT products recorded a drop of 4.9 per cent compared to 2022. With sales of just under 8.2 billion euros, the consumer electronics segment suffered a decline of 0.6 per cent. The segment of privately used telecommunications products developed negatively in 2023 with a 2.2 per cent drop in sales to just under 15.5 billion euros. Privately used IT products recorded a decline of 14.9 per cent to just under 6.6 billion euros.

At 17 billion euros, turnover in the home appliances segment was 3.5 per cent below the previous year’s figure. Sales of major domestic appliances fell by 7.1 per cent to just under 9.8 billion euros in 2023 as a whole. Sales of small domestic appliances rose by 1.7 per cent to around 7.2 billion euros.
